Halloween!

Couldn't manage to pull together a neighborhood party like we have in past years, but we did pull off a keg in the driveway. It was great to see all the little ones dressed up before they started trick-or-treating.

Bella and Mary Claire

This is the second year Mary Claire and her good friend Bella have unknowingly ended up with the same Halloween costumes! The first time was back in 2004 when they were 2 1/2!

Zookeeper Charlie

Charlie had a Halloween party with some of her classmates while Mike and I were away. Erin had sent her this adorable zookeeper outfit - don't you love the key? I couldn't decide on one favorite picture!

Our Sweet Sloane

It was such a special weekend to spend alone time with Sloane, especially after her illness last month. It's something we've never been able to do before and it was great having mom and dad keeping Mary Claire and Charlie for us. Unfortunately Sloane's new word for the weekend was "no." She said it over and over and over and over. I'm sure we drove Marge nuts! Apparently MC and Charlie didn't miss us too much. Charlie asked if she could stay at Gama and Dowie's house 6 days the next time we go away!

Taconic Lake

Marge and Sloane.
Marge mentioned there is a picture of her in front of the camp when she was about Sloane's age -- I'd love to see it!

Visiting Poppy

Michael and I flew into Albany on Friday afternoon and headed to Saratoga Springs for lunch. As soon as we plopped Sloane on top of the horse we spotted the sign asking you not to climb on the horse. Later that afternoon we headed to Glens Falls to see Poppy and Betty. It was great to catch up and see them.

Hiding Her Meanness

The other day I was leaving Charlie with a babysitter.
Me: Are you going to be a good girl?
Charlie: Yes, mama. I'll hide my meanness.
When I stopped laughing I asked where she planned on hiding it and she pointed to her armpit. I guess that's as good a place as any.

Dinner Out

When Sloane was born, one of the many thoughts I had about how our lives would change was how we would never be invited anywhere again with the 3 kids, especially with them all so close in age. Fortunately I was wrong. Tonight our neighbor Ora had me and the girls to dinner with her two cutie-pies Lily and Jimmy (not pictured...he was too busy crawling around). Not only did she cook for all of us, she catered to the girls' quirky eating habits. We had a great time.
