Mary Claire fell asleep at dinner Saturday night and continued to sleep as dad carried her back to the hotel thru Times Square

They got up early Sunday morning to go watch the Today Show being taped. MC got to meet Lester Holt and was on TV for about .05 seconds!

MC was so good...she got her doll first thing Saturday morning and had to wait all day to get back to the hotel to play with her!

Mary Claire and I stayed in the hotel after dinner while mom, dad and Erin went to an Irish bar. Dad and Erin practiced what they would later that weekend outside the Today Show....guess you have to imagine them holding signs.

Mary Claire's first trip to New York!

Mom, dad, Erin, Mary Claire and I are met up in NYC to celebrate Erin and Mary Claire's birthdays. Gama & Dowie treated MC to the weekend and Auntie E treated us all by booking a suite in Times Square. I crashed MC's aprty when Mike volunteered to watch Charlie & Sloane.



Had a lovely dinner at Da Nico's on Friday night and walked thru a movie set on the way home....

Mary Claire came back from a day at the pool with her friend Sydney with freshly painted nails. Although I never get as many details about her time away from me as I'd like, I think her grin tells the whole story!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great afternoon with the McAllister family celebrating the 4th of July.

I guess Beau thought Sloane (even though she was sound asleep) could protect him from the fireworks. he is not a fan of thunder or the 4th of July.

More and more Sloane brings us shoes, tutus, any article of clothing to put on her -- she wants to do everything her big sisters do.

Charlie had her personal "ear protector" with good neighbor and friend Nancy during the impromptu fireworks exhibition.

We got a message from dad last night that he and Erin had climbed and summited Mt. Ranier. A huge relief to hear the good news. Not sure how he managed to do this with his crazy work and travel schedule but he did. We are all VERY proud and the girls love to talk about how their Dowie and Auntie E climbed a volcano.

We're taking care of my parents dog Beau while dad is out west with Erin climbing Mt. Ranier. Sloane and Beau have a special relationship -- whil Beau hides out in the bathtub she constantly goes in to visit and talk to him. This time Mary Claire and Charlie joined her.
Charlie crashes on the couch at the end of the day - this NEVER happens.
