While Gama was running in a Race For The Cure in Manchester, Vermont we were starting the 800-mile trek back to North Carolina. I think the photos speak volumes...

Dowie enjoyed cocktail hour with the girls. Charlie & Katie hung out on the dock. MC experienced her first scavenger hunt with some of the older kids from the lake. And our wonderful hostess Marge marveled at wimpy Beau during a thunder storm.

Mary Claire enjoyed her first experience with an outhouse. The girls loved hanging out on the dock and picking blueberries.

MC & Charlie at Marge's on Taconic Lake

MC & Charlie are at the back door of Marge's camp. They are the 5th generation of the family to spend time at Taconic Lake. During our trip to the lake back in June, one of the women at the lake mentioned how my girls' great-great-grandfather taught her how to fish when she was a young girl!
