Mary Claire Wins Principal's Award

Mary Claire was recognized this morning with the Principal's Award. There was only one child chosen from each of the 5 kindergarten classes to receive this award. Here is what her principal said in announcing her award:

The Principal's Award this year is going to someone who exudes confidence in every way. This student comes to school each day with an enormous smile, and cannot wait to get started at the task at hand. Their love of learning shows in every piece of work, as the student is a wonderful writer, artist and reader, and always goes above and beyond what is asked. Every piece of work that is turned in is done to the fullest potential, and with so much effort. The child is a friend to all, and possesses a great sense of right and wrong for someone of such a young age. We know that this child is going to succeed in so many ways, not only at Myers Park Traditional, but wherever this student goes after elementary school. It has been such a privilege to have this child in our class this year, and I am so proud of this student and all they have accomplished this year in Kindergarten. We are so thrilled to present the Principal's Award to Mary Claire Poth.
